I had a team of people interview me for the DevOps job and they explained to me everything they were working on and asked the normal details about my background.
After the group interview, they had me do a weekend project. Well, that project was basically EXACTLY what they had just told me they were in the process of working on. It was a two day project. After I submitted it, even though it was just a minimal REST app they said it was "too much" code and gave me like a "thanks *wink* *wink*" response after I submitted it and they declined to move on with the process.
Basically these guys use the interview project process to outsource their jobs, so dont do their projects unless its doable within a day and actually seems like a sample project.
