I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at State Farm (Bloomington, IL) in Nov 2012
Interview
The interview process was very professional. I had the opportunity to meet with several executives within the department, as well as newer employees to make me feel comfortable. However, I feel that I got the interview due to my personal connections within the department, and I believe this is how State Farm chooses to handle the majority of hiring. Individuals with no personal connections to State Farm will be passed on if a candidate with personal connections applies for the same position, regardless of the qualifications and skills of the individuals.

Interview
The interview was straightforward but not as exciting. I had two people interviewing me. The reason I think the interview was not exciting because my interviewers just read all the questions from the computer and took notes. No follow-up question was asked.

Interview
Applied online after being notified by my school about the opportunity. About one week later, had a phone interview. A couple days after that I had another phone interviews (both behavioral). About a week after that I had a skype interview with 5 people in a row (each lasting about a half hour). They asked more specific questions about actuarial work and why I was interested.
