I applied online. I interviewed at State Farm in Jun 2017
Interview
Submitted an application online and was scheduled for a phone interview. Interview went well, mainly STAR format questions, but it turned out the training started during the same time period as summer courses I had to do to graduate. I was told by the recruiter that I got the job and to just go ahead and submit another application when my summer classes were over and I would be automatically accepted for the position. When my classes ended I submitted the application and it was rejected with no word as to why. It is one thing to be unprofessional, it is another thing to lie to candidates. I spent an entire month I could have used finding a job thinking I already had one lined up. I tried getting in touch with state farm numerous times and was completely ignored. This is unacceptable and I'll be sure to notify any other perspective candidates of my experience.
