Multiple steps from phone screen with recruiter then hiring manager then full panel interview with 5-8 people depending on scope of role and area of expertise. Question focus on situational experience where you have to talk about a time something happened, your actions, and the outcome. Expect multiple follow up questions to ensure you're providing enough detail on the examples you shared. Each interviewer has a specific focus area they are assigned so expect a wide array of questions from each person.
I applied online. I interviewed at Stand Together (Ballston, VA)
Interview
Very streamlined and thoughtful process. An internal recruiter reached out, did a phone interview, and then a Zoom interview with possible colleagues, and finalized with an in-person. Definitely vetting candidates based on their ideals and how they would work passionately towards the mission.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What in Stand Together's mission do you find alignment with?
Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad the interview process felt thoughtful and streamlined. We’re intentional about exploring mission alignment and how candidates want to contribute, since our work depends on people who are energized by empowering others.
The recruiter reached out and we scheduled the initial call. Recruiter screen via video conference and 2 panel interviews, which are, I believe a bit obsolete.
Both were done virtually and would have potentially led to onsite visit. Panel interview felt a bit cold and impersonal
Thank you for sharing your interviewing experience. We would welcome the opportunity to dive a bit deeper to understand your experience more — what went well and perhaps where we missed the mark. If you're open to that, please email us at careers@standtogether.org
