The interview process was very badly structured and unprofessional. Before the interview started, she was yelling and scolding her staff. Was getting bad vibes, but decided to just go ahead with the interview since I was there already. She started asking about my GPA from uni and poly, and made unnecessary comments about it. She then repeatedly ask for the days I can commit, to which I keep telling her politely that my school timetable is not out yet and will let her know by the end of the week. She became quite rude afterwards and just left, totally unprofessional. Seeing how bad the work environment was, I told her that I wanted to cancel my application, and she just tore my application form up in front of me. Don't bother wasting your time interviewing, just save yourself from this terrible workplace.
leading up to the interview, i received a call from the agency, understand the purpose of it is to know me better- my name, qualifications, age, etc. They placed heavy emphasis on asking about my GPA (note that they have already asked once here). I received 4-5 calls confirming my interview timing in the span of 3 minutes.
During the interview, everything seems fine, UNTIL the interviewer ask about my GPA again, what are the universities that I have applied to, and whether I have heard back from any. I mentioned that i have went for interview with this particular school and she commented “with this kind of gpa, you’re still able to get an interview with this school???” in which I had to defend myself in telling her as nicely as i can that schools looks at your portfolio to a certain extent too. To make matters worse, she asked about the timeline leading up to the interview and after I replied, she commented “nowadays, they reply singaporean's so promptly” her face, and tone, obviously upset about it. if you’re upset about the ‘privileges’ that singaporeans ‘supposedly’ receive from universities, don’t take it out on the students.
I noticed another intern working over there and looking pretty uncomfortable, hope she’s doing ok there. do not go for the interview!!!!!
this happened quite long ago. applied for an internship but then turns out the job interviewer told me the job requires me to do much more than just the job posting itself, including administrative matters, invoice, with lesser pay than the one listed in the job posting
