I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Squarepoint Capital (London, England) in Nov 2021
Interview
The interview process was an absolute nightmare. It was both unprofessional and disrespectful. The invitation email from the interviewer contained multiple typos and was hardly readable. During the interview, the interviewer was not interested in knowing my background at all, nor did he say anything about his job/role or the company. Basically we went straight into doing coding questions. One question is quite hard. I got a bit stuck but told the interviewer my thinking, and asked him whether I was on the right track. I believed that my general direction was right but he was having none of it. At the end of the interview, I asked the interviewer how to solve this question, he gave some muddled response, which led me to believe that he himself could not solve the problem. Very disappointed with the process.
Process involves 3 x 1 hour virtual interviews that will cover basic probability/stats/coding tasks, passing this there is an in person day with a more involved challenge and presentation to team. Final HR style interview will only happen all this and one should expect 2-3 weeks between interviews.
