They called me after I applied to a vacancy I saw in another job board. I was called by a sort of reasearcher assisting to the Business Unit Director of Spring in Madrid who arranged an interview. I must say the BUD was a very kind person and the interview was really nice and smooth in every aspect. She apologsed in the future delay of the process since they were moving the office to a new location. After more than I decided to write both, the BUD and the researcher/ assistant. I received an answer back saying my candidature was declined, to what I asked why. I received a phone call from the assistant saying "we are moving forward with more senior profiles". Considering they were looking for a manager in the industry area and my experience in this field is for more than 5 years plus an engineering degree, I was quite surprised and I let them know that the feed back wasn't accurate and thorough, that it was a simple pretext to reject my candidature (it is something that doesn't bother me as much as a proper statement is offered).
Some months later I could check the final candidate in LinkedIn and I am afraid my suspicion was right: lower experience, non-engineering qualifications, then it was not a more senior profile.
I expect a firm recruiting senior people with a well-known brand would be able to offer reliable feed back and having a good follow-up of the candidacies (much more considering it is for an internal vacancy). Well, I was wrong expecting this.
