I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Spectrum in Feb 2019
Interview
Went through over a month of interviews - about one per week. Phone interview with Recruiter, interview with Hiring Manager, interview with Local Sales Manger and completed an skills assessment (excel, powerpoint). Then... nothing. No further communication whatsoever - not even to my follow up communications. In the current hiring environment, I'm surprised that I nationwide employer would simply ghost on an applicant following multiple contact points and significant time investment. Even small local businesses know that a simple email thanking me for my time and letting me know that they are moving forward with other candidates is communication 101.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Basic questions about software, marketing experience, etc.
I had a very brief phone screen with Leslie, who was very friendly. But my phone interview with the hiring manager started with her saying "I didn't look at your resume," so you know it went well from there. Especially since she did not ask me anything about myself or to describe past experience etc. She asked me three questions about re-locating and that was it. The questions I asked were hard-hitting, and were answered haphazardly. I was counted out before she even dialed my number.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Spectrum (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
I had an initial phone call with local manager and then HR stepped in to move the process forward (which was bit strange). I had 2nd interview in-person with another manager which was cut short (total interview time of 15 minutes even though it took me an hour to travel to her temporary office because she was traveling) since she didn't have the office for set time.
It went ok (it seemed they weren't very digital-savvy especially for this role even though they advertise digital offerings on their site). Next time I heard back was 2 weeks later from another manager for phone interview. After multiple follow ups and waiting, HR relayed it was between myself and another person - I was under impression that I would secure this role as HR kept insisting the team was impressed by me and "excited" for me. After initial contact, 2 months later I got call I didn't get the offer. Fine. But don't see how it took 2 months to finally give an answer after chasing them down for a final answer.
