Interviews and all contact with the current the CEO of Speakeasy (she was promoted from COO to CEO during my candidacy). Applied August 2022. Remote interview scheduled. Role put on hold in mid September 2022 because they were too busy. Scheduling was VERY slow. It could take a week to get a reply from them, and by then the time they initially proposed would have passed, so we'd start scheduling over again with the same result over and over. Interview scheduled October 2022. Eventual interview went very well. I loved the role as it was described. They said they actually had no office space to hire but when they saw my resume they really wanted to hire me. After interviewing they promised to make room for me asap. They said someone was leaving shortly and I'd get their office. It felt like a done deal with salary negotiations and a firm base offer, as well as overall commissions, OTE, full comp, and benefits discussion. It was just a matter of waiting for my office space to open up. November 2022, role was put on hold again because they were too busy again. January 2023 circled back and said they're still busy and role still on hold but they would reach out when they had time to move forward on hiring process. In February 2023, I saw they reposted the role. They did not reach out as promised, so I reapplied. They said I was still a candidate but they were busy and would reach out when they had time but that it may take a while. Last communication from there was in March 2023. Heard nothing from there, so I reached out for an update in May 2023. They said they were no longer hiring for the role and thought they sent me a message on LinkedIn letting me know; they hadn't. So for 8 and a half months I was strung along to basically be ghosted with no additional feedback. Then in late June 2023, they posted the role again. Each time they post it, they tweak the title slightly, but it is the same role and same description. Extremely unprofessional, slow to non-existent responses, and total lack of regard for candidates end-to-end. Don't waste your time or energy with this company, it's hope on a string that leads nowhere.
