I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SpaceKnow (Prague) in Jan 2019
Interview
The whole interview process was a bit long and quite demanding. The first step was a more "informal" interview with HR and ML team lead. After this "screening" interview I was assigned a problem to work on at home with the completion deadline of one week.
After I turned in my work I waited another week for the answer, and again after receiving an answer, I waited several days before having the final "lunch" interview. Overall count that the interview process will take 2-3 weeks + time to work on the assignment.

You also receive a task to work on at home.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SpaceKnow (Prague) in Oct 2017
Interview
The interviews consisted of three parts: first a meeting with Michael Reinstein, the head of research department, who is a very skilled and experienced AI expert. It was an informal chat of around 1 hour, very friendly. Second part was a "homework" for both thinking and programming, quite nontrivial. There was a lot of space for creativity in this homework and I liked it (the topic was cloud detection in satellite images). The final meeting was another chat, clarification of expectations and a common lunch with other members of the research group. After all of that, I got an offer with a fair salary, which I accepted. One week later the offer was suddenly retracted with the explanation that "the company board has changed its short-term strategy and decided to stop hiring in the research department". This doesn't seem to be very professional, and also raises some questions about their revenues / stability / planing etc.

Question 1
Standard questions -- expectations, my background, knowledge of AI & programming skills, why am I switching from a slightly different area, etc. The "homework" was a difficult programming assignment for a week (but I liked it).
