I applied on a job board and the description was very misleading. The role I applied for sounded like it was a behind-the-scenes, PR role mainly doing digital content marketing (this is also what the HR person who called me for the interview led me to believe). After reading everything on Glassdoor, I realized that probably was not true, but went through with the interview just in case. First of all, the office itself is set in a maze of a building and is difficult to find. I tried calling them to ask where it was and got no answer or call back - I had to ask two people for directions (who probably have to help people all the time because they saw me wandering around and asked if I was looking for Source Interactive). The interview was kind of a joke - it lasted not even 15 minutes. The guy who was interviewing me came off as pretty cocky and really just talked about random stuff the whole time. He maybe said two things about the job, asked me one question and then said he would like to bring me back for a second round, which I am declining. He didn't even allow me to ask questions about the role - he said I could do that in the second round. The office itself was weird, like others it reminded me of a college frat party (and this is coming from someone in their 20s). The walls were painted all different bright colors which i found odd (bright orange and two shades of blue). The office I interviewed in consisted of an empty bookshelf, an empty desk, and two chairs which made it seem like no one stays there long enough to move their stuff into. I was told I could be making over $100,000 in this role, which I am smart enough to know that is not true. If you want to do door-to-door sales for Verizon and Home Depot, this is the place for you. If you're looking for a long-term career path, this probably isn't your place.
