      Software Test Engineering Interview

      6 Jul 2014
      Anonymous employee
      Boston, MA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Sonos (Boston, MA)

      Interview

The first one was a phone screen by one of the managers to assess if I would be a good fit in the company, they contacted in a few days asking to me come for an onsite interview. 3 rounds were conducted onsite. First one was theoretical, with questions on TCP, UDP and general testing questions. I was asked to design a test plan for a wireless mouse and a key board. The next round was a white board round, where I was asked to solve a few algorithmic based questions and a few questions on python. The last one was a coding based round, where I was asked to code the solutions to 3 questions that were given to me in python.

      Question 1

Coding the solution to 3 questions in 45 mins was definitely the hardest part. But the interviewer helps and makes sure you dont get too tensed by talking to you through out the process.
