Applied online through an ad seen on Indeed and the same day I received an email to call for an interview. I had a phone interview the next day discussing my background a little and was asked to come in for an in person interview. They scheduled it for several days later the following week. I arrived early and announced myself to the staff. The person interviewing was available and came to greet me (same person as the phone interview). Her background is in marketing/training but she is a recent grad with a minor in HR and was asked to complete first round interviews. She explained what her duties were for the company and that it was actually a division of SoCal called MiMo that had the job opening. She then asked a lot of those thoughtful questions designed to find out how your mind works rather than going through the resume which was in front of her. We had a lovely visit which lasted about thirty minutes and we seemed to find common ground in outside work activities. At the end, she explained that if I was selected for the next round, then another person would be conducting that interview. The job was perfect for me and my background experience so the day after the interview I sent a thank you email. However, a couple of weeks later I received a nice email stating that someone else had been selected for the position. There were two odd things that I noticed prior to the interview : 1.The ad read "Social Safe Company" instead of SoCal (short for Southern California) and 2. The email for the company listed on their website bounced. Hopefully, the new person will prove beneficial and the company will continue another 100 years.
