Recruiter screen, case study with hiring manager, case study with leadership. In all my conversations, I spoke very little about myself and my experience as 90% of the time was spent on the case study (less than 10% for questions at the end). I struggled with the case study, but found it difficult to answer questions about Disney world and grocery stores when I’m applying for a Fintech role with 10 years of fintech experience. Felt like they were looking for MBA grads or big tech people that have gone through this interview process before, vs. people that had relevant experience to share.

Recruiter reached out liking my profile, but ultimately ghosted. When I followed up they mentioned that they were looking for someone with more experience even though I've been a PM for 15 years.

Initial recruiter screen, followed by hiring manager screen (very positive) followed by 5 final round interviews. Took about 6 weeks total. Recruiter told me early on that they had extended an offer to someone but lacked confidence that it would be accepted so that's why they were interviewing me. I was also told that I'd be considered for several other PM openings if this one didn't pan out or the outstanding offer was accepted. Tl;dr - was rejected for the initial job (the outstanding offer was accepted) and was also told I wasn't a fit for any of the other open PM roles even though all interview feedback was supposedly very good. The recruiter assured me that we'd stay in touch and she'd work on my behalf to find something, but ultimately I applied for several more roles and reached out each time and got pretty much no support. Also, one of the interviewers was extremely rude and combative during our session. Gave me a ridiculous hypothetical scenario and when I pointed out what I perceived were flaws, he just kept saying I was wrong.
