I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Snap-on (Kenosha, WI)
Interview
Standard interview questions. Asked about prior work and hobby experience. Just as interested in hands on (hobby or professional) as well as educational experience.
One phone screen (hour long convo) and one onsite tour/interview (about 4 hours). Job offer 3 days later.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Snap-on (Rochester Hills, MI) in Nov 2018
Interview
I discovered the position through a staffing company. I spoke with them and then had a phone interview with Snap-On of Rochester Hills including three engineers there. I met on-site a couple weeks later. I found they were fairly friendly, but the questions were not necessarily all pertinent. I interviewed with the same group from the phone call along with several others; whoever wanted to join. We broke for lunch, then they gave more of a tour of the shop and tools there and some examples of prototypes and finished designs they've worked on. I had to reach out to the recruiter later on to find out they wanted more experience for the job.
