Had an initial call with a recruiter which was pleasant. Then had an in-person scheduled at their Venice Beach complex. This was pre-covid.
Met with 3 people. The first was a manager (woman) in a different department, she was all done up in makeup and outfit like hitting a fashion show and looked extremely well off.
He asked me questions and I answered them all fully, however the whole time she was giving me this look of disgust like I was worthy 'look wise' of working along side her at snapchat. That's the best way I can describe it. I do have a bigger than normal nose but she looked at me like I was trashy. I knew from that first part on that she'd be a detracter in my getting the role.
Going forward I had two great interviews with a direct report and direct manager. Both were lively with no feeling of disgust given.
Left for the day, my car battery, unfortunately, ended up going out while trying to leave, had to get towed. Then got an automated email back 3 hours after the interview saying I didn't get it. Have applied a few times since that interview and consistently get turned down without a hr screener.
End result, they seem/seemed very jaded with looks at this company, unless you're a model type and super attractive they likely won't hire you.
