I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Smith+Nephew (Indianapolis, IN) in Aug 2015
Interview
Extensive interview process including multiple interviews and field ride-along. First interview included a role play as a Smith and Nephew sales representative where the interviewer was a clinician and the interviewee tried selling a Smith and Nephew product. The interviewer was more interested in your selling technique than the actual product knowledge. The interviewer asked for the role play first to help put the interviewee at ease.
Long, but thorough. They spend a lot of time getting to know you. The process from hiring to getting out in the field is over 3 months though. I’m not sure if it’s changed, but it’s a lot of video interviewing. Once you make it to interviewing the VP, you’ve pretty much made it.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Smith+Nephew in Sept 2025
Interview
Pleasant exchanges with the recruiter Maria. She sent the basic questions via text message.
Next round was a virtual interview with the manager. It was fairly easy until he stated this was a waste of his time. I dodged a bullet there apparently...
There were multiple interviews including an AI interview. I made it through the first two and waited for months for the third but never heard back. Months later I got an automated email that I would not be hired.
