I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Smartling (New York, NY) in Apr 2019
Interview
Submitted my resume through Glassdoor. Heard from Smartling in the next couple of days and had a phone interview with HR and the hiring manager. From there, I was invited for 2 hours of interviews with various team members. Everyone I met seemed intelligent and very nice, but I did not receive an offer. Too bad, I would apply there again based on this experience.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Smartling
Interview
There were quite a few steps in the interview process: HR screening, hiring manager, technical take home assignment, peer interviews, and finally VP. Communication was very good throughout the process and overall things moved relatively quickly from one step to the next. The overall process took about a month simply due to the number of steps.

Question 1
How would you explain a complex concept to a non-technical audience?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Smartling (New York, NY) in Feb 2022
Interview
First a recruiter conversation
Video interview with the hiring manager
Take home assignment (scripting)
Panel interview with various team members (two hours long).
Was a pretty fast process, nothing too complicated.
Either posting was a come on or the company lied to me. Very unprofessional.
