      Interview

I was invited for an initial HR screening call, which went fine. After that, there were two weeks of complete silence — no update, no acknowledgement. I was then contacted again by the same HR representative for what was framed as another HR call. During the call itself, it became clear he had no recollection of our previous conversation and had not reviewed any notes from it. I essentially had to re-introduce myself and repeat information I had already shared. It left a poor impression. Candidates put time and effort into preparing for these conversations, and the least you'd expect is that the recruiter remembers speaking to you two weeks earlier. If this is how the hiring process is run, it doesn't inspire much confidence in how the rest of the company operates.
