Were so warm and friendly! They took great interest in my experiences and asked a broad range of questions to see if the fit was good. They made me really want to work there.

Question 1
Q: What would you do in this scenario in the office?
Q: Tell me about your passions?
Amelia Sweet reached out to me mentioning the Slingternship opening(s). I think I was on their file/record for having applied to it the year before. I replied with interest.
Here's what I learned during the interview that you'd want to know.
- Full time position, June 1 - August 7. Office closes at 2pm on Fridays.
- $10/hr + $150 transit stipend
- They were hiring 7 interns total and had already filled 5.
- My mentor would intentionally be someone in unrelated department. (Um... why??)
- The way they grow their agency is 'pragmatic' - so they only hire interns based on if they feel they need one (not if they acquire a new client, as a large agency would do). From this, it sounded very unlikely/unpromising that they'd hire me after internship.
Unfortunately, I currently don't have access to the sketchbook I used to take notes during the 1st round phone interview. This means I do not recall most of the questions they asked me. I do, however, have some notes on my computer, and I clearly felt strongly about this having been a very difficult interview. (Helpful, I know.)

Question 1
What is your availability / are you willing to relocate
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Slingshot, LLC (Dallas, TX) in Nov 2017
Interview
Standard interview/screening from HR. While the questions were standard and easy, the HR representative was entirely unpleasant for some reason. If the HRM representative was any indicator of the company, I have no desire to work there. After the first interview, a second was scheduled, but I declined. HR was rude, unwelcoming, and abrasive.
It saddens me to read this review, as Slingshot is a company that prides itself on fair and respectful treatment of all people, especially the talented individuals who devote their time and energy to interviewing with our team. I ask you to please email or call so that we can find out more about your interview process and apologize for whatever negative experience you may have had. 214-634-4411
