About a week after applying, I received an email to complete a technial exam. I was given 4 days to submit the exam, and 48 hours to complete it once started. The exam was 3 questions, two LC-style questions and one SQL question, took maybe an hour. The day after submitting my exam, I was sent an email asking to schedule an interview. Unfortunately, the soonest I could schedule it was two weeks away from the day I received this interview so I had to play a significant waiting game, but, what can you do. The interview was half behavioral, half technical. Mostly standard behavioral questions, and the technical portion was reviewing my answers to the technical exam, a few questions regarding my familiarity with languages, understanding code, and I was asked to share my screen and write a small function in a text editor or IDE of my choice. The interview took just over an hour.
I was told that I'll hear back within two weeks, and if invited for a second interview with the VP of programming and a Lead Engineer, those will focus more on soft skills and personality. I was assured that the technical side of reviewing my answers, interpreting code, and writing code, was over. I was not offered a second interview, and was given no feedback on why I was not selected to continue.
