      Account Coordinator Interview

      17 Aug 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Skip Hop

      Interview

Round and round and round again. The interview process started out normal. I received a call from a recruiter with a few questions and was approved to move to the next stage. A week later, I had a thorough phone interview with HR and was invited for an in-person interview with a director (not the manager of the position in question) and a brief face-to-face with that same person from HR. However, I was then brought in again for another two rounds of interviews - one with a second HR person and one with a very high-level staff. I was told the process is "fluid" at the end of the second set of interviews, which turned out to mean that they were not planning to hire anyone soon. A few weeks passed and HR followed-up to say no decision had been made. Then, another few weeks passed and HR reached out with questions, many of which were repeats from the previous 5 rounds of interviews. At this point, I was also told that there would be an excel test and another round of in person interviews. This time the interview would be with the actual manager of the position. However, I already had an offer from another company, so after weeks and weeks of this process, I never got to see it through. It seemed that they were interviewing too early and didn't actually plan to hire anyone. I realize it's an important decision to bring new staff onboard, but this was just too many rounds of interviews for this low of a position. It made me question the efficiency and organization of the entire company. Although everyone was friendly, the process as a whole left me frustrated.
