I entered the process as a seriously interested candidate and was repeatedly told I was a strong fit — only to be left with unclear communication and a final rejection with no real explanation. After an initial interview where a technical issue affected my camera/mic, the company agreed to reschedule. When they rescheduled, they did not send a new meeting link or clear follow-up; I used the original link (which worked) and showed up on time. I also apologized for my less-than-ideal equipment — which I expected would be accommodated or at least commented on constructively. Instead, the interviewers’ tone shifted, the session felt performative, and I left with the impression that presentation and polish mattered far more than ability or transparency. A few days later I received the standard “we have decided to move forward with other candidates” message — no feedback, no closure, and zero accountability for the poor communication.
This process felt like being strung along: excessive flattery up front, then perfunctory rejection with no clarity. If your hiring criteria include equipment quality or “camera-ready” presentation, state that explicitly up front or offer alternative accommodations. Candidates deserve direct, timely communication — not ghosting wrapped in compliments. I won’t recommend this company to jobseekers who expect straightforward, professional hiring practices.
