this process was on the longer side, but no case study. i had 6 interviews (2 were in person back to back). the questions were more behavior based. the feedback i got was very positive but they still decided to go with someone else.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Simple Mills (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2025
Interview
Met with HR for 45-minutes traditional interview, then 45-minutes with the VP, then the Hiring Manger and then the VP and Hiring Manager together in person. I do not recommend this company. After meeting with the HR person, they scheduled me on the call for the next interview, which was a week later on a Friday at 2pm, when it came to the interview, I dialled on and no one showed up. I emailed the HR contact and got no response. I then went through the weekend still with no response, come Monday, still no response, it then took until I chased them for the HR person to call me that afternoon. They barley apologised and made some excuse about the VP wanting to reschedule and then forgetting to change it with me. It was BS though as the VP when I finally met with them said that they noticed a gap in their calendar that day and believed that they had an interview but it wasn't on their calendar. After my interview with the VP, I then had to wait close to two weeks for a response because that same HR person was OOO. All in all, I was not happy with the HR department at Simple Mills nor how quickly they can make decisions. I had taken that week to prepare for the interview for then no one to show up and having to wait 4 days for someone to even acknowledge my email questioning by no one showed up. Very poor experience!
