I interview people all the time, and respect their time and willingness to talk with an organization. I know how long a process can take, and how time consuming it can be to hire. It tells me a lot about an organization when they set an interview, then cancel less than an hour beforehand. They said the position was filled, after being posted for a few days.

Phone interview or zoom interview with recruiter before they formally send you an offer letter. They ask you if you get along with others in close proximity. Especially in small living quarters with roommates
