The interview process includes a technical phone screen with a case study discussion, followed by a take-home assignment. During the onsite interview, we will discuss the take-home assignment in detail.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Silo (CA)
Interview
They are happy to waste your time and effort. Many rounds of extremely softball time wasting interviews then reject you last round for no real reason. The whole process was a hot mess
Call with engineering manager followed by tech screen with an engineer. The "engineer" gave zero feedback throughout the process and was incredibly vague with requirements. I specifically asked if they wanted the search functionality to work a certain way and was later rejected for a "bug" that was really a very intentional design decision (searching one field by startsWith and another by includes). I even specified while building this that it would work this way. The mixup was likely due to the fact that they had a jr engineer running the tech screen. Don't waste your time here unless you're a mind reader.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Very simple react app with data fetching, filtering, favoriting. Incredibly vague requirements and will get dinged if you don't magically make design decisions they had established but not told you.
