I was contacted quickly by Sigma Machine to set up an interview the very next day after applying. I mentioned that I would like to come closer to a specific time as I am currently employed and it would be easier for me, they agreed. Upon arriving they had me fill out a paper application (red flag 1) and then I sat and waited almost 25 minutes after the time we agreed to meet. (red flag 2) Once I interviewed I actually felt positively about working there. We had a typical conversation about my successes and experiences etc. They then gave me a timeline of when I would hear back which was the following week. They also explicitly stated they'd let me know either way if I was being offered the job or not. The next week (on Monday) they requested references from me which I quickly provided. By Thursday I called to follow up and was dodged stating they were in a meeting. I called once again on Friday to do a general follow up and was dodged again as they were "about to attend a meeting about the position I applied for so I should know by that afternoon or Monday". Long story short they never contacted any of my references after requesting them and have basically ghosted me. If this is any indication of how the company works I feel like I dodged a bullet.
