Interview #1: Brief phone screen with HR representative. I only had the last 1-2 minutes to ask questions, which told me that they're not as interested in finding a good fit but perhaps just a resource to fill the position. Interview #2: Hiring manager was friendly and asked broad questions. It's not her field of expertise so it seemed that she was checking for basic skills and a culture fit. Again, I had only a couple of minutes to ask questions at the end, indicating that my questions for them do not matter. Interview #3: Panel interview with 4 people from the project team, all of whom asked about skills that were outside of the job description, aimed more for a project manager or continuous improvement manager rather than a change management leader. While I have project management and continuous improvement skills, it was largely outside the scope of what their job description stated. Also, through that process, I realized that they are attempting to execute a large, global program with a change management team of one, not a team at all. It will be hard to succeed in that environment but they don't know what they don't know. Overall, it seems they should have aligned on the number of people needed to reach success on their key global initiatives and with a more accurate job description. At the end of all of that, they didn't even respond; they ghosted me. The ultimate mark of an unprofessional and careless group.
