I want to share a warning for others considering opportunities like this. It started with a lucrative salary offer, and I was invited through an HR company. The first interview was directly with the CEO, but from the beginning, the focus was entirely on gathering ideas to attract clients. I was shortlisted for a second round with the CEO, MD, and Finance Officer, and once again, the emphasis was on client acquisition strategies.
Then I was given an assessment to create a 12-month plan detailing how I would generate leads, followed by a presentation to the management team. I put in the effort, prepared the plan, and presented it, only to receive an email afterward claiming my skills, knowledge, and communication weren’t up to their standards. I feel misled, and now I see the same position advertised again with a salary offer that's double what was initially posted.
This feels like a tactic to gather ideas without any real intention to hire. Be cautious.
