I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Sia
Interview
I got approached through Linkedin and decided to apply, for which I got rejected instantly. Why approach me then? I then got approached again and decided to apply again and this time they did proceed with the solicitation procedure.
I had my first interview with them which took 20 minutes in which the recruiter asked some basic questions. That went well and I got invited for another interview which took about an hour. In this interview, we were talking about past experiences and motivation to join the company.
For the third interview, I had to make an assignment in 16 hours and present this assignment. When I got to the office the managing partner was talking about how Sia Partners implements a flat structure, how they respect everyone's opinion regardless of position, that the data department is growing, etc. Nice speech. He then proceeds to ask me to tell him something about myself. I start talking and he instantly went on his phone and started texting, completely disregarding my entire existence there. It made me feel really uncomfortable and set the tone for the rest of the meeting. Needless to say, I bombed the meeting since I had no confidence anymore, and received one of the most unfriendly rejection emails afterward.
In summary: would not recommend.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sia (Amsterdam)
Interview
I had a first interview with HR, which went well, but my second interview with one of the consultants was less positive. I felt the tone was a bit condescending, and the reasons for not moving me forward to the next stage could have been explained more clearly.
