Interviewed with supervisor than with HR, If hired, they will send you for a drug test. Once passed, they will call and let you know when you can start and schedule your training.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Shoe Metro (San Diego, CA) in Oct 2017
Interview
Worst interview... a big ugly bully management style. You can tell a novice manager but relies on staff for technical answers. 3-4 interview process, no offer for travel expenses.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Goes thru practice code, tries to determine if you coded it or copied/paste from stackoverflow. You'll be asked if you can do some assigned task in 2 days? Watch out of HR behavior questions: what makes you angry, what do you hope to accomplish first day, first month, first year.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Shoe Metro (Nashville, TN) in Aug 2015
Interview
I applied, but they tend to hire in waves so it took a couple of weeks for them to get back to me. They emailed me and we set up a time for me to come in.
They have you do a typing test, a computer literacy test (it's short and pretty simple; pretty much just seeing if you know keyboard shortcuts), and a personality test (asking if you steal from employers).
After that you speak with HR and they ask a few basic questions (why do you want to work here, why would you be good at it, etc). I heard back from them within 20 minutes of leaving the interview.
This is all done through the company, but they hire through a temp agency so within a certain amount of time around the interview you also have to go take a drug test and fill out some paperwork with the temp agency.
