I first had a screening with a senior engineer. Then an on-site interview with the same senior engineer, a platform engineer, and the CEO.
The dialogue shared was relatively pleasant. I got an offer the next day. I turned down my other job offers/interviews and asked ShipperHQ if there was any wiggle room in compensation. No response. Three days later, they rescinded the job offer citing for the comp suggested, they wanted a more senior engineer. I asked them to reconsider the original offer and they said declined.
Seems really odd for a company to rescind an offer on asking if there's room on the table for negotiation not to mention I turned down other offers for ShipperHQ. I hate that they wasted my time and I held out for the company but you live and you learn. Perhaps this was a foreshadowing of what working here would have been like as well as based on the reviews on glassdoor.
