I applied online. I interviewed at Shennon Biotechnologies (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2024
Interview
I did an initial interview with the CEO and CTO about my background and experience. It was brief. We talked about what I've done and how it relates to the role.
The company responded promptly and asked several technical questions about the cell types I've worked with, as well as my experience with cytometry, including the systems I've used. They concluded by inquiring about my preferences regarding company culture and explaining their interview process.

Question 1
What cell types have you worked with? What is the maximum number of colors you've done in a flow assay?

Interview
Terrible interview, did not feel like they were serious. Felt like their job posts are just to harvest ideas and free consulting under the guise of job interviews. Two co-founders were on the call, one asking a bunch of scattershot questions while the other seemed to be falling asleep and playing games on his computer.

Question 1
What would you do with our technology and if you were in our shoes? How do you build a lab team? What assays do people typically want to see so we can show proof of concept?
