I was selected for an initial phone interview. Two hours before the interview, the HR person emailed me saying they needed to cancel. Two minutes after that I received an automated denial email. On one hand that’s extremely disrespectful and unprofessional to do to somebody. But on the other, at least they didn’t waste my time dragging me through the interview.
