I received a call from a recruiter in India regarding this role. Below is the job spec they shared:
The expected workdays/hours for the shift manager are listed as Monday to Friday, starting at 11 PM, with a total of 38 hours per week.
However, the job description doesn’t mention the end time of the shift—only the weekly total. When I spoke with the recruiter, she confirmed that the shift actually runs from 11 PM to 9 AM, Monday to Friday, which adds up to 50 hours per week. This seems unreasonable, especially for a role based in Australia. I honestly don’t think many people here could manage such a schedule, and it raises questions about why the company would list 38 hours when the actual workload is 50. In my opinion, this shift would be more suitable for a North American team.
Given this, I’ve decided not to proceed with their technical interview.
