I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Sephora (Markham, ON) in Oct 2017
Interview
I applied at the end of September online and got a call a few days later from a recruiter and had a phone interview. A few days later I got a call from a supervisor at the store I applied at to come in for a group interview which was one week later. I attended the group interview and it went well. I waited a week and didn't get a call so I called and was told to come for a solo interview with the store director. The interview was 2 days later and it went well though I was very anxious. I was told I would find out the next week if I got it, I waited a week and heard nothing so I called and spoke with the lady that first interviewed me and said to wait another week. I waited a week and then called again and spoke with the director who said they were 'very busy' and it would be 'another few weeks' and they would email me. A few days later got the email saying I wasn't hired. Their hiring process is ridiculous; to have to complete 3 interviews and wait 6 weeks to find out if you got a job is insane especially for an entry level seasonal position. I suspect I wasn't hired because of my anxiety at the interview, which is funny because one of the interview questions was about discrimination so it's nice to know sephora won't hire people with mental illness.

Question 1
First 2 interviews were a lot of general questions i.e why you want to work here, third interview was a lot of situational questions.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sephora (Corpus Christi, TX) in Nov 2024
Interview
Interview was quick. I filled out my information and availability while I waited. Job posting stated nothing regarding availability requirements for this position. She saw my hours and just immediately said it wouldn't work because she needs people who could stay past midnight for the seasonal store hours, which I could not do. Literally took me longer filling out that form than the actual Interview. If the availability they were looking g for had been posted on the job description, I wouldn't have applied in the first place. Complete waste of time.

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Sephora (Wilmington, NC) in Oct 2024
Interview
It was at a kohls and it was standard. The manager was in sweatpants and seemed not super professional. Did not interview with an actual sephora manager at all but a kohls manager

Question 1
What would you do in a situation when a customer is dissatisfied
There were questions about my previous job and how I'm gonna deal with angry clients. It's important to stay positive and try to calm down. It was a good experience even with the language barrier.
