      Associate Consultant Interview

      8 Apr 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Dallas, TX
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Sendero (Dallas, TX) in Mar 2019

      Interview

The recruitment team came to my university's career fair. I was required to visit the booth at the career fair and drop off my resume to be considered for employment. The recruiters and managers there asked me some interview-like questions as we were speaking. The next day, I got invited to complete a supplemental application. I had 1 week to complete the supplemental application. A week after submitting the supplemental application, I was invited to complete a phone screen, which happened the following week. The day after the phone screen, I was invited to an on-campus interview, which was scheduled for the following week. I was not able to complete the on-campus interview due to a conflict with another interview day out of town with a different company. Fortunately, the recruiting team was kind enough to allow me to complete this interview during the final-round interview, so I got pushed to the final round. The final round interview occured 2 weeks after the on-campus interview would have been. At the final round interview, I got to meet current employees and complete 1 behavioral interview, 1 case interview, and the 1 make-up interview I missed earlier in the process. I told the recruiters my timeline and was told that they would have an answer for me within a week (I had a week and half until I needed to respond to an existing offer). I didn't get the response in time to make my decision and had to consider my other offers without knowing whether Sendero would give me an offer or not. The next week, a recruiting manager (who knew my timeline) reached out and said the team would need at least another week to make their decision. At this point I had already accepted another job offer, so I withdrew my application from consideration. This was a shame, because I found the employees to be so kind and genuine throughout the process. Ultimately the process was mostly positive but the way it ended was very unprofessional and left me with a bad taste about how well the company was run. The whole process, start to finish, took about 6 weeks.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Sendero in Nov 2025

      Interview

I applied via their careers page. The entire process took one month. 1. HR screening call 2. Virtual First Round 3. In person Final Round They were transparent from the beginning about the general compensation for the role. HR was very communicative and responsive to my questions/clarifications throughout the process. Both of the interviews were behavioral and asked very general questions about your experience. They want you to utilize the STAR method to answer the questions and will ask follow up questions on the examples you give. Overall, it was a very clear and solid experience.
