Sendcloud Frontend Engineer interview questions

Sent an open application and i was contacted by HR after a couple of weeks. The overall process was nice and smooth, the interviewers seems like really nice and knowledgeable peoples. Cleared all the interviews but the day before the final interview i received an emails says that from now on they will only hire very senior engineer and that they will stop the process. I totally understand this kind of decisions but i would have preferred to received it in an early stage since i’ve invested so much time, effort and even time off from my current job for this position. Furthermore during the tech interview i was told that i would receive feedback about the tech assessment even if i don’t get hired but never got back from them. I felt like a fallback to keep in case the first choice candidate would have declined the offer. I would suggest the HR people to be honest and continue the process for a candidate only if there is a real interest.
