Sourced by an external recruiter, next a phone screen with HR, then 1st in person, then 2nd in person, then 3rd in person with investor/owner....everything was going great and was very positive until the last interview together with the investor/owner. The CEO said that the final decision was his and his alone to make...but I don't think that is the case, unfortunately. To say that the interview with the investor/owner was weird is an understatement....that guy would not know good talent when he sees it and more than that, with his style of interaction and interrogation, it is very off-putting! There seems to be a pretty good opportunity ahead with this company but it needs to mature its interviewing process a bit, streamline it, and get a little bit more sophisticated in how they do things in order to be successful and attract good talent in the PDX market. They will lose and drive a lot of good talent away with their practices. I was given a cockamamy story about how they were going with the other 'candidate' only to see the same position description with a downgraded title posted 3 weeks later....this place is a waste of time and ultimately, a bullet dodged in my opinion.
