I was invited to interview for a Senior Financial Analyst role. Within the first few minutes, the interviewer told me I was not qualified and suggested we continue for a different, lower-ranked position instead. That was the first I had heard of any change to the role. When I asked about the salary range for this position they had decided to pitch me on the spot, they refused to share it.
What makes this so frustrating: my entire background is laid out on my CV. If I was not a fit for the Senior Financial Analyst role, a two-minute look at my resume would have told them that before they ever scheduled the interview. Instead, they brought me in, dismissed me in ten minutes, and tried to redirect me into a job I never applied for, all without being willing to discuss compensation.
Communication throughout was also difficult, which made an already awkward conversation harder to follow.
If you are considering this company, pay attention to how they treat candidates' time. A quick resume screen would have saved everyone the trouble, and it says a lot that no one bothered.
