SecureFlag interview questions

I interviewed for the Front-end Technical Lead position at SecureFlag in November 2025. My overall experience was mixed. On the positive side, everyone I spoke with was polite and the conversations themselves were pleasant. However, the process required a substantial time investment, including a take-home assignment that felt very close to real production planning work. The task involved creating a detailed migration and redesign plan for their system and critical dependencies - essentially work that resembled actual architectural consulting rather than a typical interview exercise. After completing the assignment and the final interview, I was told to wait for their decision. Instead, communication went silent for more than two weeks. I eventually reached out myself for an update, and only then was I informed that they had forgotten to send me the decision email. They ultimately chose another candidate. While the team itself seemed friendly, the overall experience left me with concerns about the extent of unpaid work expected and the lack of basic follow-up after the final round. Candidates should be aware that the home assignment may require significant effort and that communication toward the end of the process may not be reliable.
