      Mathematician Interview

      24 Oct 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Chicago, IL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Scientific Games (Chicago, IL) in Aug 2018

      Interview

Had 2 on phone interviews, one in person (final) interview, and basically a take home project which was ridiculous. They required you to write a code for a game, which wasn't too bad, but then once I submitted it they asked for it again in a different language because their computers (somehow in this day & age) couldn't process the few lines of code. So I rewrote it and it checked out and was correct. But ON TOP of that, they wanted you to statistically prove it in an excel file by giving you small steps to complete, and the person in contact with all of those is available for feedback maybe once a day. So it was incredibly tasking and tedious to figure it out. I completed everything they asked for, interview well during the final interview, and a day later they gave a robotic email saying they would be moving on. Like what? There was nothing but positive feedback from everyone, even the person I emailed, and he said he had no reason why I was rejected.

      Question 1

They played a game which was pretty easy to figure out to test your skills. Figured it out pretty easy but I guess it didn't matter

      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Scientific Games (Bengaluru) in Mar 2018

      Interview

There were 4 rounds of Interviews. The first one was a technical test, then it was a written test. After that, there was the discussion with the Director and the discussion with the HR team. The response was happening and therefore it was a positive experience. Hope it helped.
