I applied through university. I interviewed at Scale in Mar 2021
Interview
Was sent an object detection mini project. The project consisted of finding star figures in the night sky. If you break it down to the bone -- imagine implementing YOLO but instead of four points for your bounding box its five.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Scale (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2025
Interview
It was very bias. There are a couple of GenZ kids, and they are assessing you very subjectively. Even if you solve the coding questions correctly, they are proposing some stuff to eliminate you.

Question 1
Reading a txt or csv file and organizing data frames accordingly.
Take home and then call with a ML engineer for second round. The take home took quite a while to do but was straightforward. I was nervous for the main one so didn't pass.

Interview
Applied online. Fist interview was a live coding interview session, dealing with raw data for CV task.
I thought the interview was super easy even though I am more proficient in NLP than CV. I completed everything except for the very last task, for which I didn't have time to finish coding.
I didn't pass.
