The interview was conversational and focused more on my thought process than technical questions. They asked several AI concepts, including A/B testing, and wanted to understand how I approach problems.
Long process, got strung along for 2 months. 5 interviews, never had anyone touch base with me over 2 months other than to schedule the interviews. It was clearly between me and another person in the end but they went with the other candidate, as they had apparently interviews twice with them for this position in the last 6 months. I felt unnecessarily strung along and was in limbo and was given a lot of uncertainty over 2 months.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SavvyMoney (Dublin, CA) in Jul 2025
Interview
During my initial interview with a recruiter, I was initially optimistic about the possibility of advancing to the next round. However, the second round was disappointing. While the interviewer appeared impressed with my responses and expressed confidence in my suitability for the position, they ultimately concluded that I was overqualified. This assessment seemed contradictory, as my expertise in the relevant field and potential for success in the role were evident. Consequently, I sent three follow-up emails to express my confidence in my abilities and inquire about the reasons behind the over qualification assessment.
