We’re very sorry that your experience with Sanctuary was not a positive one. All managers involved with the recruitment process are required to attend a mandatory Recruitment & Selection training course prior to their involvement with any interviews for permanent vacancies, and in addition our managers have the support of an experienced HR recruitment team who provide further advice and assistance where required.
We have thoroughly looked into the concerns you have raised and we believe that you came to Sanctuary to explore a temporary opportunity. For these roles we offer an initial informal discussion with all temporary staff to ensure they are able to fulfil the basic requirements for the temp booking. A full interview is not conducted as our temporary staffing recruitment partner will act to provide interested temporary staff with a lot of the information that an interview would deliver. The informal discussion ascertains someone’s availability to start on a given day and will outline the role to support the information already provided by the recruitment agency acting on behalf of the temp worker. There has clearly been a breakdown in communication on many levels. We will ensure that our meet and greet process is a positive one for every individual who attends an interview or an informal discussion, and we will work with our temporary staffing recruitment partner to ensure their suppliers provide all temps with the information we ask them to cascade.
