I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Samsara in Aug 2023
Interview
The recruiting team is top notch, and most of the folks I spoke with on the team were personable. I will say that Samsara is looking for a specific mold of a person. The interviews are quick and very structured - and they want 2 minute soundbites of every experience you are trying to share. Providing details to a story outside of SMART format, and trying to have conversation outside of their structure will be frowned upon and you should expect immediate feedback on that after an interview. I made it to the final executive interview. She was 10 minutes late - seemed irritated when she got on the phone. I could tell within 1 minute that she had already made up her mind about me. She may have already decided on someone else before she joined the call honestly. I will say that expectations were laid out clearly and the recruiting team was an amazing (like crazy amazing) resource for preparing for these interview rounds. I did feel pressure to agree that the job I was interviewing for would make me "leap out of bed every morning in excitement" which...to be honest...we call it work for a reason. But again - they are looking for a very specific mold of a person and will root out if you don't fit into it. Good luck!

Question 1
Does this job make you want to leap out of bed every morning in excitement
Multiple rounds
It would be weeks in between each one to so took forever, the pay was too low for requiring 6 rounds and a project
company seems to have this attitude that since they are a great place to work candidates should be willing to do multiple rounds of interviews for weeks at a time with no feedback

why customer success? how have you handled a difficult customer?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Samsara in Feb 2026
Interview
The director reached out to me directly on LinkedIn and urged me to apply. The interview process was clear. This consisted of a series of two individual interviews and then a mock presentation. All went well, or so I think, I never received any feedback. My negative experience comes from the fact that I never heard from a team member, even with a rejection notice, despite multiple follow-ups.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Samsara (Toronto, ON) in May 2025
Interview
Samsara is very efficient and doesn’t waste anyones time on scheduling and following up with interviews. Their team is clearly considerate and even has auto emails asking for feedback on their interview process. Had 5 rounds for their midmarket (scaled) CSM role. Rounds are: phone screening, hiring manager call, call with multiple hiring managers, take home test and review of said test, and final round is with executive leadership.
