I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Salt XC in Apr 2026
Interview
Received an interview invitation after referral submission. Met with some miscommunication from HR as I had to follow up two times regarding booking an interview until I received a response. First interview was fairly conversational roughly 30 minutes in length going over experience, interest in the company, etc. Second interview was with the Hiring Manager and going into depth about the role and how your experience meets the role/team needs. After both interviews wrapped, received zero communication about application status and found out through LinkedIn posts of the company that I didn't get the role. Unfortunate circumstances but unprofessionalism and miscommunication rubbed me off the wrong way.
It was pretty straight forward. Had a zoom interview and chatted with the recruiters for a bit. They followed up 2 weeks later and let me know that I didn't get the position.

Question 1
Do you prefer to work within a team or independently?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Salt XC (Toronto, ON) in May 2025
Interview
The recruiter reached out to me on Linkedin and scheduled a screening call, then sends you off to the hiring managers .. who asks more in depth questions. The process was quick and happened within a span of the week. Although I did not get an offer, it was one of the best interviewing experiences I've had in my life.
