      Marketing Operations Specialist Interview

      24 Mar 2021
      Anonymous employee
      Bakersfield, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Salal Credit Union (Bakersfield, CA) in Jan 2021

      Interview

The application process was all done online and was straight forward. I was called by an HR rep who did a screening phone interview with some general questions. I could tell they were to help screen candidates. I enjoyed the conversation and she did a great job answering all the questions I had. (Thanks, Katie!) My phone interview was followed by a video interview with the hiring manager, which again, went very well and really turned into a great conversation about the position and the credit union industry. All my more detailed questions were answered and a day in the life of a Salal marketing team member really started to come into focus. I had one more group (remote) interview after this with the marketing department leaders. Unfortunately, I had some technical issues during the event, but they were totally understanding and helped put me at ease, reassuring my internet quality would not hurt my chances at getting the job. :) The entire process took about 2.5 months from application to offer. They were open to salary negotiation and took my experience into account. I am greatly looking forward to joining the team!

      Question 1

My questions were centered around my experience working in a department with a lot of projects and how I would handle situations that could change on the fly, including less than optimal outcomes.
