Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. I’m sorry the interview felt impersonal; that’s not the experience we intend.
Because we’re a four‑person firm, I (the founder) conduct the first conversation so every potential recruiter understands our culture and expectations from the start. To make those discussions valuable for both sides, we assume candidates will do a brief review of our company and the person they’ll meet with. When that prep is missing, the interview can feel scripted and less engaging for everyone.
Your comments remind me that we need to spell out this expectation more clearly in our interview confirmations and reduce any multitasking on my end, so the conversation feels genuine. I appreciate you highlighting the gap, and we’ll adjust our process accordingly.
