      Java Developer Interview

      29 Mar 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Sabre in Nov 2016

      Interview

Terrible process! Sloppy HR department. Sabre uses a service called HireVue that allows candidates to perform on-demand interviews. The service forces the interviewee to use their webcam and microphone on their computer to record their responses to pre-recorded interview questions, mostly behavioral interview questions. After the interview(s) followed technical questions. Where the problem arises in the recruiting team of Sabre. I performed the same behavioral interview 3 times, because they had dates wrong in the first two interviews. The first and third interviews contained technical interview questions, which were exactly the same both times. Two times I would have liked to ask for another date to perform the interview, but I never got contact info to reach out to them. When I contacted them about practically completing the same interview 3 times, they gave me an unhelpful response on the causes of the issues. They told me that they would only be hiring Juniors, Seniors, and Grad Students for the role. SO they wasted my time with three interviews when my resume makes it very clear that I am Sophomore. Stay far, far away from the company.

      Interview

I was given an OA. First part was behavioral where i had to submit a video response(Only one attempt). Then i was asked mcqs and then i was asked 4 coding questions. I had 1 hour to complete that questions. I had to code in java. Questions where completely java-centric. Mainly string parsing. Logic was easy but looking out for syntax for string parsing was an headache. Overall it was good. Still waiting for response.

      Java Developer Interview

      20 Dec 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Dallas, TX
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Sabre (Dallas, TX) in Dec 2019

      Interview

They are using hirevue. The process is very awkward and weird. There are 15 questions about yourself first round then another 20 questions(multiple choices/coding challenge). It very time consuming, I'm not sure if I even want to work here. I wish they let me using other language to do the coding interview. I understand the concept and able to solve it in other language. I just hate using java for interview.
